Parking area after the village, near the lake, on the right-hand side of provincial road 71 towards Trento. The circumlacual path starts below the level of the provincial road.
\nLake Lases – 700 m long, 225 m wide and 31 m deep – is frequented by fishermen for the variety of its fish fauna. The water is rather cold, (care should be taken when bathing) the surface regularly freezes over during the winter, returning a cool climate during summer days.
\nOf particular interest from the point of view of flora and fauna are the biotopes. \nOne of these is the Lases area. Composed of three areas: the Lases marsh, the Val Fredda and the Pal\u00f9 Redont, it can be easily visited by means of paths and mule tracks. The Lases marsh occupies the southern part of the lake of the same name: a dense strip of marsh reeds bordered by walls of porphyry waste, a valuable wetland from a vegetational, faunal, biological and ecological point of view. The Val Fredda, above the village, is characterised by the presence of the ‘buse del giaz’: hollows in the bottom of the valley originating from an ancient landslide, in which cold currents are present, causing glacial phenomena throughout the year. Lastly, the Pal\u00f9 Redont, located in the Val Scura that departs to the north of the inhabited area in the direction of Lena, with a rounded peat bog in which a very rare form of vegetation ‘Caricetum Lasiocarpae’ (sedge) and ‘Salix rosmarinifolia’ (dwarf willow) grow.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
